Capital Campaign

A message from Father Paul Manning, President of Morris Catholic High School:

Dear Friends of Morris Catholic:

An apt definition of the word “crusade” is this one: “Any vigorous, concerted movement for a cause.” Here at Morris Catholic, we are engaged in just that—a lively, hopeful and organized capital campaign to further the mission and high ideals of our school. We are calling our effort “Crusade for Tomorrow: The Capital Campaign for Morris Catholic,” and we hope you will join us in participating in this exciting and momentous undertaking.

The word “crusade” has its origins in an active verb meaning “to bear the cross.” To make a decision to commit to the Crusade for Tomorrow will mean doing just that—bearing a cross. It will mean actively and willingly embracing a financial sacrifice to pledge to the Campaign. It will mean honoring that monetary commitment for a significant period of time. But more importantly, it will mean lifting high the Cross that serves as the standard for Morris Catholic’s noble purpose: to educate young men and women in character, community and commitment through a knowledge of the love of Christ.” Your decision to commit to the Crusade for Tomorrow will mean bearing the Cross of Christ in this corner of northern New Jersey for years to come.

Obviously, the education of young minds and hearts requires a number of elements: a safe and suitable environment, a dedicated and well-equipped staff, a campus on which young people can stretch their limits, and a curriculum that challenges and expands their intellectual horizons. These aspects of an excellent Catholic education require financial resources. In short, they require you.

I hope you will honor the name “Crusader” by joining us in this religious pilgrimage into the future. I hope you will shoulder the cross with us, and accompany us on this campaign for the benefit of young men and women who want to be formed as companions of Christ. The Crusade for Tomorrow begins today, with your generous support.

Sincerely in Christ,

Father Paul S. Manning
